As part of the 8th Global Road Safety Week, a training on the culture of driving and first aid for victims was held for drivers of JSC DTEK NETWORKS, organized by the Kyiv Interregional Branch of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine of the Ministry of Health.
More than a hundred drivers from the company participated in it, both offline and online. Tetyana Svirska, Head of the Transport Control Department at DTEK NETWORKS, drew their attention to the accidents that occurred at the company and emphasized the importance of following safety rules.

DTEK drivers had the opportunity to listen to three training topics: “Road Safety – Everyone’s Responsibility” – from representatives of the National Police of Ukraine, "Legal foundations of compulsory civil liability insurance of owners of land vehicles" - from a representative of the Motor Transport Insurance Bureau of Ukraine (MTIB) and a lecture - a practical course on providing first aid from instructors from the Ukrainian Research Institute of Transport Medicine of the Ministry of Health.
Yegor Serb, Senior Inspector of the Public Relations Department of the Patrol Police Department and Volodymyr Lysak, Senior Inspector for Special Assignments of the Public Relations Department of the Patrol Police Department in Kyiv analyzed in detail the situation with commercial transport accidents in Ukraine, paying special attention to the causes of accidents - speeding, maneuvering and violation of intersection rules, and drunk driving.

Video materials:
Roman Romensky, Head of the Legal Department of MTIBU, spoke about the new rules for auto insurance, in accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance of Owners of Land Vehicles", which came into force in January 2025. He focused, in particular, on the extent to which the new law protects the interests of both policyholders and injured parties, and what practical aspects of "auto insurance" drivers should know.

Inna Olifirenko, instructor-teacher, director of the State Enterprise "Ukrainian Medical Center for Road Safety and Information Technologies", briefly focused on the organizational aspects of training in first aid methods, and devoted most of the time to a workshop on acquiring first aid skills.

Video material:
We would like to note the great interest of the training participants: there were no indifferent people to any of the topics. It was a professional dialogue: the drivers had many practical questions for the training organizers, the police and MTIBU representatives, and they also actively participated in practicing first aid skills.
